Wakefield third graders raise Christmas money doing chores

Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly has announced that third grade students in Becky Ernest’s class raised more than $435 for a Christmas gift project by doing chores around their own homes and in their neighborhoods over the last two months.

With the money raised, the class and their teacher purchased gifts for less fortunate children in the community as part of the Chores for Children project the school has done for the last three years. In three years, Ernest’s classes have raised over $3,100 doing chores.
