Rotary member speaks to R-MA’s Interact Club

Rotary District 7570 Governor Ronald “Ron” Mabry recently spoke to the Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School Interact Club about how funds they collect through the school’s 4th annual “Penny Wars” for Stop Hunger Now and Rotarians Against Hunger will serve the Rotary’s efforts.

In recent years Haiti, Thailand, The Philippines and Japan have received packaged meals as a result of the “Stop Hunger Now” project. The R-MA Middle School Interact Club, which has 25 members in a total student body of 67, has raised over $3,000 the past four years for the worldwide humanitarian project.

The R-MA Middle School Interact Club was chartered in 2011 and is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Linden.
