Bloom temporarily stops the issuing of talent show passes

The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival has announced that an overwhelming number of applicants for the third audition of the Apple Blossom’s Got Talent show has caused an early end to the application process and a suspension to ticket sales.

According to a press release from the festival office, organizers have temporarily stopped issuing public passes to the event on the evening of April 3 and for the Semi-Finals on April 17 until it can accommodate seating for contestants’ family members. Any remaining passes for April 3 will be released to the public on Wednesday and for the Semi-Finals will be released on April 9.

Because of so many applicants to the third audition, the application process was closed at noon Saturday, and a special “marathon” session was scheduled for Sunday to choose the 30 best contestants to compete on April 3.

The festival also recently announced that the festival souvenir store and ticket outlet will return to Old Town Winchester after being absent for more than 30 years.

Starting March 31, the festival store will be located in the newly renovated The Railroad District at 302 N. Cameron St., with hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and special hours until 8 p.m. on April 4 and noon to 5 p.m. April 27.

The 87th Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival is scheduled for April 25 to May 4.
