Area chapter of Beta Sigma Phi honors Donna Crabill
The Xi Epsilon Beta chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority has announced it named Donna Crabill the 2013-14 Woman of the Year.
Under her leadership as president, the social and service sorority has made conations to the Empty Stocking Fund, the Shenandoah County Pregnancy Center, the Tree of Love, the VECCA scholarship, the After Prom Party, the ALS Foundation and to Luke’s Backpack.
The organization sponsored a family at Christmas and provided two meals for the staff of the Shenandoah County Free Clinic.
A news release from the sorority said members are dedicated to service but that cultural and social activities also are important. At the annual Valentine’s Dinner in February, Laurel Vaughan was crowned Valentine Sweetheart. During the Founder’s Day event that included a dinner, Lois Jackson was recognized as a member of the master level of membership in Beta Sigma Phi. Other socials are a Beginning Day Tea and a Christmas party.
