Alice Murphy’s “Portraits of Life” exhibit will open at Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury in Winchester from 5 to 6:30 p.m. July 25, with a reception in the Lawrence Gallery. The artist has invited her husband Jack to share the exhibit.
Alice Murphy started her career at age 6, by painting an unauthorized landscape on her family’s powder room wall. She pursued her gift through high school and received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Virginia Commonwealth University.
