Emily Powell and Matthew Gochenour were married on May 24 in an outdoor ceremony at Waterbrook Brethren Church in Edinburg.
The bride is the daughter of David and Cindy Powell of Toms Brook. The groom is the son of Garlan Gochenour, of Woodstock, and Sherry Stephens of Front Royal.
The Rev. Jonathan Fletcher performed the double-ring ceremony.
The maid of honor was Angela Powell, sister of the bride. The matron of honor was Bethany Miller, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Maynard, Sarah Maynard, and Marissa Brandon, friends of the bride.
The best man was Alan Bowers, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Justin Isner, friend of the groom, Alex Gochenour, Mike Gochenour, and Joe Gochenour, brothers of the groom.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Central High School, and a 2013 graduate of Lord Fairfax Community College. She is studying veterinary assisting at Blue Ridge Community College.
The groom is a 2008 graduate of Central High School, and a 2013 graduate of Lord Fairfax Community College. He is studying computer information systems at James Madison University.
Following a wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Woodstock.
