Students make sandwiches, collect funds for CCAP
Students at Sacred Heart Academy in Winchester worked on an assembly line recently, making bologna and cheese sandwiches for the Congregational Community Action Project.
The 21 students made 550 sandwiches in an hour and were guided by House of St. Francis Cabrini mentors Janine Tollis, Kathy Hall and parent volunteers, according to a news release from Joey Solosky, the school’s director of advancement.
Students had collected 1,370 slices of bologna and 1,500 pieces of cheese for the sandwiches. Each sandwich packet included condiments and a piece of candy.
In addition sandwiches, the students collected and donated $297 to CCAP.
