Front Royal man wins $2 million in lottery
Attorney John O’Neill bought a Millionaire Mania Scratcher ticket at the Gas Mart in Front Royal on Oct. 30 and won the top prize of $2 million in the scratch-off game.
O’Neill, who regularly stops at Gas Mart on his way to or from work, claimed his prize on Tuesday at the store, located at 8002 Winchester Road in Front Royal, according to a news release from the Virginia Lottery.
“It was a very nice Halloween I’ll never forget,” he said Tuesday.
The release notes that O’Neill took the one-time cash option of $1,505,000 before taxes.
The Millionaire Mania game is closed — O’Neill was the final winner. Gas Mart received a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
