Outstanding philanthropy recognized

Shenandoah Valley Community Residences presented the 2014 Eleanor S. White Award to Winchester resident Kelly Kremer at its recent holiday banquet. Kremer has volunteered for many years on the boards of both NW Works and The Arc-NSV, and is a strong contributor to the area Special Olympics program. The Eleanor S. White Award was established in 1991 by Shenandoah Valley Community Residences, a Winchester-based charitable organization. White was a founding of the organization 34 years ago. Shown here, from left, are Kelly Kremer; Ridge White, son of the award’s namesake; John Brauer, NW Works CEO and nominator; and Ralph Combs Jr., executive director of Shenandoah Valley Community Residences.
