Students win Patriot’s Pen Awards

Three Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School students took top honors at the Patriot’s Pen Awards sponsored by the Front Royal VFW Post 1860 and Ladies Auxiliary. This year’s theme was “Why I Appreciate America’s Veterans.”

Taking first place was seventh-grader Jonathan Bunker, of Berryville. Second place went to eventh-grader Jacob Gehly, of Front Royal, third place went to eighth-grader Griffin Loper, of Winter Haven, Florida.

Awards were presented by Quarter Master/Adjutant Scott Simmons. They will advance to the district level competition.
