Dedication set in Jim Barnett Park

WINCHESTER -- The public is invited to a dedication for Jim Barnett Park's newest attraction. A dedication has been set for Sunday at 9 a.m. to celebrate a new nine-hole disc golf course, which is nearing completion, according to a news release from the Winchester Parks and Recreation Department. The dedication will be held at the Jaycee shelter at the park at 1001 E. Cork St., the release states. The throwing skills of those attending will be tested shortly thereafter with a tournament planned for 9:30 a.m., the release states. Entry fee is $25 per player and proceeds will benefit the construction of the second nine holes of the course, it says.
