The Fairfield Inn and Suites in Strasburg has been sold for $6,250,000 by Inns of Strasburg L.L.C. to Sanwood Hospitality L.L.C., based in Chester, Virginia.

The sale, finalized on Oct. 28, includes the plot on which the hotel sits as well as the building itself.

Built in October 2008, the 84-room hotel is located at 33760 Old Valley Pike near Interstate 81.

Due to a 15-year contract with parent company Marriott, signed at the time of the building’s opening, the building will remain a Fairfield Inn and Suites until at least 2023. The hotel’s staff will remain on board and management will continue to be the same, said Viviana Keffer, Fairfield Inn and Suites general manager since 2015.

“It’s a change,” she said. ” It’s very exciting to have somebody new come.”

She said that the new ownership group arrived in time for a renovation project.

“We’re going to renovate out hotel in January 2017,” she said. “Our hotel is going to be fresh, nice and it’s going to have new colors and be beautiful.”

Keffer said that the new ownership has been very good to her and the rest of her team since the sale.

“Sanwood has been amazing to all of us,” she said. “They’re taking care of us. They care about all of us.”
