Mr. and Mrs. Caesar Caesar anniversary Linda and Frank Caesar of Toms Brook celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 3. The couple were married Feb. 3, 1962, at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Alexandria. They have two sons and three grandchildren. Winchester Festival princesses Five local high school seniors have been named princesses in the court of the queen of the 85th Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, April 27-May 5. Representing James Wood High School is Catherine A. Beach, daughter of Sharon and John Beach of Winchester and granddaughter of Sylvia and Charles Orndorff of Clear Brook and Rozie and Robert Beach of College Place, Wash. She is president of the Leo Club, FFA senior adviser, senior class treasurer, vice president of the Latin Club and a member of the National Honor Society and the yearbook staff. A member of the varsity volleyball team, she was named Frederick County Public Schools' student athlete of the month in November 2011. She will attend Virginia Tech in the fall. Representing Millbrook High School is Kayla M. Becks, daughter of Gina and Charles Becks of Winchester and granddaughter of Donna and Hoyt Riddle of Broadway. She was co-captain of varsity competition cheer, a member of the varsity football competition sideline cheer squad and the National Honor Society and was homecoming queen. Jerry Blevins wants to beat the world record of the amount of electricity produced by one person using simple machines, which currently is 3.5 kilowatt hours in 24 hours. The last record-setter produced 125 watts per hour.
