Injuries sideline Maypray

Former Randolph-Macon Academy and VMI standout Tim Maypray is expected back by the Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes after missing a game with leg and hip injuries.

Maypray, a 5-foot-8, 170-pound second-year pro and the Alouettes' primary return specialist, missed Montreal's 38-31 loss to the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday due to his injuries.

So far this season, the 23-year-old Maypray has returned 14 kicks for 300 yards (21.4 yards per return) and 23 punts for 207 yards (9.0 per return).

Montreal is currently 6-4 and returns to action on Sept. 5 on the road against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
