Groos lands all-tournament spot

Former Warren County High School standout and current Bridgewater senior midfielder Meghan Groos was among 12 players selected to the DC Classic all-tournament team following competition at Catholic University in Washington.

Groos helped the Eagles go 2-0 in the tournament, as Bridgewater beat Meredith 1-0 and Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham 5-2 in the tournament.

So far this season, Groos has tallied a pair of assists and started all six games for the Eagles.

Two other former area standouts are Groos' teammates at Bridgewater -- senior goalkeeper Shauna Manovich is a Skyline graduate, and junior defender Jessica Sites played at Sherando.
