Police search for parole violator

WINCHESTER -- Authorities are looking for a man accused of failing to register as a sex offender and violating his probation.

Charles William Pearson, 24, with a last known address of the Easy Living Trailer Court, in the 2400 block of Martinsburg Pike, has failed to re-register as a sexual offender with the state police, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

Pearson is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 145 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

A warrant for his arrest has been issued alleging he violated terms of his probation, which he received after his convictions in Frederick County Circuit Court in 2005 on four counts of committing carnal knowledge of a child, according to the sex offender registry.

Anyone with information of Pearson's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 662-6162 or Crime Solvers at 665-TIPS. A reward of up to $1,000 is possible.
