FRONT ROYAL -- Police have arrested a town man in connection with a burglary at a local car sales business.
John T. Robinson, 58, of John E. Drive, has been charged with burglary of Checkered Flag at 425 S. Royal Ave. Town police responded to an alarm in the early hours of Tuesday morning and discovered that a window had been broken out of the business, with indications that someone had been injured.
Police say that patrol officers J. Tanner and E. Whichard heard noises behind the building and located Robinson hiding in a wooded area.
Upon subsequent interrogation by Front Royal police investigator Kevin Nicewarner, Robinson admitted to his involvement in the burglary, police say.
Robinson is being held without bond in the Warren County Jail pending further court proceedings. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Nicewarner at 636-2208.
