(10:55 a.m.) WOODSTOCK -- A slow-moving thunderstorm that drenched the region Monday night flooded Woodstock's wastewater treatment plant and town office.
Before a Tuesday morning meeting, Town Manager Larry Bradford said the wastewater plant, which is now being upgraded, was taking in 7,000 gallons of water a minute at one point Monday night.
"We don't know the damage [to the plant], because we're pumping it now," he said. "We're at least six months behind now."
The town staff was still assessing everything this morning, he said.
The carpet at the town office was soaked Tuesday morning, and staff members said the building had flooded.
