WOODSTOCK -- The town's annual "Slow Down In Our Town" traffic campaign will begin next week, according to a Woodstock Police Department media release.
The enforcement effort targets speeders in town and its ultimate goal is to reduce speeding through voluntary compliance, the release says.
"We encourage all motorists to 'Slow Down In Our Town,'" it says.
Police will target Main Street Tuesday through Sept. 5; West North Street Sept. 6-12; and Water Street Sept. 13-19, the release says. Police will place a speed trailer at each of these locations during enforcement, it says.
