WINCHESTER -- The traffic signal at Boscawen and Kent streets will be removed and replaced with all-way stop signs Sunday.
The City Council approved the conversion at its April 14 meeting after a study showed the amount of traffic did not warrant a signal at the intersection, according to a press release.
The intersection also will feature sidewalk ramps installed to meet specifications of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The city plans to replace traffic signals with all-way stop signs at Cork and Stewart streets and Cork and Washington streets in the next few weeks, the press release states. The intersection at Piccadilly and Washington streets will be converted to an all-way stop in the spring 2010.
