Police investigate single-car crash

WHITE POST -- State police are looking for a vehicle blamed for causing a Pennsylvania woman to crash her vehicle in Clarke County on Monday afternoon.
Eva. J. Horning, 73, of Emporium, was driving a 2008 Ford Taurus east in the left lane of U.S. 17-50 near Gun Barrel Road when another car cut her off, according to Trooper J.F. Williams. Horning had to veer off the road to the left and into the median. She overcorrected twice, causing the Ford to roll over on its top and end up in the median, Williams said.
The suspect vehicle did not stop for the crash. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a light-colored, possibly gold, silver or white, with a Florida license plate that may have started with the letters YBMPN, Williams said.
Emergency workers responded and took Horning to Winchester Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to the trooper. She was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
The left lane remained blocked for a short time, but light traffic continued to move, the trooper said.
Anyone with information about the crash or the suspect vehicle may call 869-2000 and ask for Williams.
