Man pleads guilty to morphine distribution

FRONT ROYAL -- A local man has pleaded guilty in Warren County Circuit Court to a charge of distributing morphine earlier this year.
Jason Wayne Fletcher, 30, of 273 Ridgewood Lane, Front Royal, pleaded guilty on Sept. 22 to one count of feloniously distributing morphine on Feb. 4, according to online court records. Fletcher was sentenced to six years in the penitentiary, with four years suspended. Fletcher was also ordered to serve four years supervised probation.
In other recent court matters:
* Matthew Joseph Embrey, 20, of 2162 Marys Shady Lane, Front Royal, pleaded guilty on Oct. 6 to one count of grand larceny involving goods stolen from Wal-Mart on March 26. Embrey was sentenced to two years, all suspended, in the penitentiary and was ordered to serve three years supervised probation, according to court records.
* Linda Lou Good, 50, of 524 Phoebe Lane, Luray, pleaded not guilty on Nov. 2 to one count of felony shoplifting on April 22. Authorities allege she stole goods belonging to Apple House Inc., according to her indictment. Good will have a bench trial in the matter on Dec. 8.
* Michael Allen Hubele, 22, of 98 Lower View Road, Strasburg, pleaded not guilty on Nov. 2 to one count of feloniously eluding a law enforcement officer on May 21. Hubele will have a bench trial in the matter Jan. 5, 2010, according to online court records.
* Bryan Charles Duncan, 33, of 116 Deer Hollow Road, Bentonville, pleaded not guilty on Oct. 20 to one count of petty larceny, a third offense, on June 24. Duncan will have a bench trial on Dec. 15.
* Christopher Michael Sweeney, 38, of 214 Dogwood Road, Winchester, pleaded not guilty Nov. 2 to one count of construction fraud July 27, 2007. Sweeney will have a bench trial on Feb. 2, 2010.
* Amy Blair Smith, 43, of 214 Church St., Front Royal, pleaded guilty on Oct. 5 to one count of committing grand larceny on July 6. The charges stemmed from an incident involving goods stolen from a Kmart store, court records state. Smith was sentenced to two years, all suspended, in the penitentiary and was ordered to serve one year of supervised probation.
