Teens caught with alcohol, cigarettes

QUICKSBURG -- Three teenagers were charged after Stonewall Jackson High School administrators caught them with cigarettes and alcohol, according to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office.
A deputy was advised by administrators at a dance at the high school on Saturday that they had found the youngsters drinking and smoking, Maj. Scott Proctor said. Folding knives were found in the pockets of two of them, he said.
A 16-year-old New Market boy was charged with underage possession of alcohol, underage possession of tobacco and having a weapon on school property.
A 16-year-old New Market girl was charged with underage possession of alcohol and having a weapon on school property. A 14-year-old New Market girl was charged with underage possession of alcohol.
All three youths are scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Dec. 10.
