STRASBURG -- Two crashes on Interstate 81 northbound near the U.S. 11 overpass backed up traffic Sunday afternoon, state police said.
Troopers were called to mile marker 289.9 about 2:45 p.m. after Sasha Pusey, 19, of Middletown, Md., ran her 2004 Jeep Liberty into a 2009 Hyundai driven by David Currie, 26, of Philadelphia, Trooper A.S. Waybright said.
No injuries were reported, Waybright said, although the Hyundai sustained about $2,500 in damage.
Troopers restricted traffic to one lane for about an hour when another crash was reported just behind the first incident, Waybright said.
Several people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries in that crash, he said.
Emergency responders from the Toms Brook and Woodstock fire departments responded.
