College to offer full scholarship

FRONT ROYAL -- Christendom College is holding a scholarship competition for prospective 2011 freshmen.
Students will tour the campus on "Crusader Visit Weekends," and meet with faculty members for an evaluation, according to a news release. Two top scholarship candidates will be selected following the end of both weekend sessions.
The weekend sessions are scheduled for Oct. 1- 3 and Oct. 29-31.
To be eligible to apply for the full-tuition Padre Pio scholarship, students must have minimum SAT scores of 2100 or minimum ACT scores of 32, the release states. Students also are required to complete a 2011 college entrance application, a scholarship application, and a 1,000-word essay.
The deadline for prospective freshmen attending the Oct. 1 weekend session is Sept. 17. The deadline for prospective freshmen attending the Oct. 29 weekend session is Oct. 15.
