Fingerprints sought in post office theft

Reward of $1,000 offered by U.S. Postal Service leads police to trio of suspects

WOODSTOCK -- Search warrants have been executed in the last two weeks to obtain fingerprints of three men in connection with the suspected theft of items from the Toms Brook Post Office in August, according to Shenandoah County Circuit Court records.

On Aug. 3, Sheriff's Office investigator T.L. Shelton responded to the post office, at 3374 S. Main St., for a breaking and entering and larceny. He collected fingerprints from two locations, and he was later notified that a set of prints came back to an unknown person, an affidavit for a search warrant states.

During the investigation, the U.S. Postal Service offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction, and on Nov. 30, an anonymous tip came in. The caller stated he or she had a conversation with Jordan Brady Mansour, 20, of Toms Brook, in which Mansour bragged about breaking into the post office with a 17-year-old Toms Brook juvenile and Edwin Cloyd Aumiller III, 18, of Edinburg, the affidavit states.
The caller also described the Honda Accord that Aumiller drives.

Mansour told the caller they got in by breaking the side panel to the window air-conditioning unit in the rear of the post office and, once inside, they took several packages and then went through several P.O. boxes, the affidavit states.

"The caller then said that Mansour told him/her that the other two suspects had let him in by lifting the teller window gate," it states.

Items taken were a Cracker Barrel gift card, a small pocket knife with some sort of eagle on it, cell phone and a few collectibles, including a music box and a vintage car figurine, the affidavit states.

During the night of the incident, and unrelated to it at the time, Aumiller -- driving the Honda that the caller described -- was stopped in Woodstock by a deputy and advised that he had been at the juvenile's house in Toms Brook and smoked marijuana.

Another deputy informed Shelton that during a vehicle search he saw a knife matching the eagle head design of the one stolen from the post office, the affidavit states.

The search warrants sought fingerprints for Mansour, Aumiller and the juvenile.

According to online records, no charges have been placed.
