Man charged with two incest counts

MT. JACKSON -- A town man has been arrested and charged with two counts of incest.

David Keith Mitchell, 30, of 398 Mockingbird Lane, was arrested Friday following a report of incest to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office the day before, Maj. Scott Proctor said. He said there was an ongoing investigation from an earlier complaint as well.

The crimes are believed to have occurred between July and December. Proctor said the matter is still under investigation and the Department of Social Services is involved.

A hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 13 in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
