*Front Royal council splits 4-2 in approving Celtic Festival

FRONT ROYAL -- The Front Royal Town Council voted 4-2 Monday night to approve a request from the Front Royal Celtic Festival to allow the event to be held downtown in the commons area by the gazebo.
Vice Mayor Chris W. Holloway and Councilman N. Shae Parker cast the two votes against the request. The third annual Front Royal Celtic Festival is scheduled June 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
By its vote, the council approved closing Main Street from Chester Street to Blue Ridge Avenue, Chester Street from Main Street to Laura Virginia Hale and Laura Virginia Hale from Chester Street to the entrance to the Valley Health parking lot.
