WINCHESTER -- Jim and Kim Stutzman donned the crowns as king and queen of the 21st annual Doo Dah Day on Friday.

Now the Frederick County couple can preside over the Winchester Child-Parent Center fundraiser set for April 16 and keep the honor for the next year.

The previous king, Brad Veach, director of the city's Parks and Recreation Department, crowned Jim Stutzman during a ceremony at Chik Fil A on Pleasant Valley Road. Children from the Winchester Day Nursery joined representatives of the center and Doo Dah Day organizers for the event.

The couple served as king and queen years ago. The Stutzmans also have been longtime supporters of the Child-Parent Center and Doo Dah Day, they said.

Kim Stutzman currently serves as the executive director of the Clarke County Education Foundation. Jim Stutzman owns a Chevrolet dealership in Winchester. The couple also worked with the local United Way and other civic groups.
