WINCHESTER -- Frederick County Public Schools will benefit from math and science partnership grants.
The school system received a continuation grant for the mathematics partnership with the University of Virginia and 15 other school divisions, according to a release from the Virginia Department of Education.
The Functions in Algebra project was awarded $200,000 to serve a total of 55 teachers.
The partnerships pair colleges and universities with public school systems to enhance math and science curriculums and teacher instruction, according to the release.
The science, technology, engineering and mathematics program gives in-house experience to teachers and starts Standards of Learning development.
