WINCHESTER -- A badly decomposed body, believed to be that of a man, was found in a Frederick County grocery store parking lot Monday afternoon.
The Sheriff's Office received a call at 12:27 p.m. to respond to Martin's, at 200 N. Rivendell Court, after a customer noticed a foul smell coming from a 2001 Ford Expedition, Maj. Robert Eckman said. Police discovered a body inside the vehicle.
Authorities are working to identify the body and determine a cause of death. Eckman said authorities in Frederick County, Md., are looking into the possibility that it belongs to a person missing there since March 4.
