GORE -- State police have identified the driver of a pickup who died as the result of a Tuesday crash on U.S. 50.
Tracy Lee Wise, 38, of Shanks, W.Va. died at the scene as the result of injuries sustained in the crash, according to state police Sgt. F.L. Tyler.
Tyler said the crash occurred three-tenths of a mile east of Fairview Road, in western Frederick County, at about 4 p.m.
Wise was driving a 2004 Ford F-250 westbound when he apparently crossed the center line and crashed into an eastbound 1998 GMC dump truck driven by Thomas G. Swisher, 60, of Gore.
Tyler said Swisher was taken to Winchester Medical Center for treatment. The pickup was a total loss, while the dump truck, which was pulling a low-boy trailer with a piece of equipment, sustained about $15,000 in damage, Tyler said.
