*Motorcyclist injured in collision with deer

FRONT ROYAL -- A man was injured Wednesday when his motorcycle struck a deer on Mountain Road in Warren County.

The motorcycle was headed south on Mountain Road near the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries fish hatchery at 10:17 a.m. when the deer jumped out of the woods, said State Trooper S.A. Sutherland, who arrived on the scene at 10:32 a.m.

The driver, Timothy McCoy, 44, of Hagerstown, Md., sustained minor injuries and was taken to Winchester Medical Center. No charges were filed.
