FRONT ROYAL -- Warren County Public Schools will release Virginia Grade Level Assessment and Virginia Alternate Assessment Program portfolios to parents upon request.
The release of the information is in accordance with the Virginia Public Records Act.
Loretta Stevens, supervisor of special services for Warren County Public Schools, says in a news release that due to the large volume of material, the school system will be releasing the portfolios to parents only upon request.
The Virginia Grade Level Assessment and Virginia Alternate Assessment Program portfolios will be released for pupils who were in grades 3-7 during the 2009-10 school year and 2006 graduates who participated in the grade 11 Virginia Alternate Assessment Program in the 2004-05 school year.
If parents do not request the portfolios by June 30, all of the remaining portfolios will be disposed of in accordance with Virginia Public Records Act guidelines.
For more information, call Stevens at 635- 2171, extension 247, or email her at lstevens@wcps.k12.va.us.
