EDINBURG -- A Harrisonburg woman has been arrested after police say she fraudulently opened an account in an Edinburg resident's name.
Teresa Lynn Brooks, 45, of 942 Vine St., Apt. 0, was arrested May 31 and charged with obtaining money by false pretense, forgery, passing a forged document and identity theft.
Shenandoah County Sheriff's Maj. Scott Proctor said an Edinburg resident claimed Brooks opened an account and made about $250 worth of fraudulent charges in their name.
She is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on July 1.
