*Stephens City man gets prison term in attack

WINCHESTER -- A Stephens City man must serve prison time for his role in an attack last year on two men near Shenandoah University which left one with serious injuries.

Judge John Wetsel Jr. sentenced Jimmey L. Lambert, 24, of Hackberry Drive, to 10 years with all but three years and six months suspended in Winchester Circuit Court on Friday for committing one count of malicious wounding by mob.

A co-defendant, Jeffrey A. Lineburg Jr. faces a jury trial Aug. 30 for his charges of malicious wounding by mob and assault and battery.

The victim who sustained the most severe injuries testified he had to undergo reconstructive surgery on his jaw.

Lambert testifed he hit the other victim numerous times. Lambert, the first charged, aided law enforcement in the case.
