*Two die in Frederick County crash

WINCHESTER -- Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday night on U.S. 522 (North Frederick Pike), according to the state police.

Dominick C. Grippo, 73, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry that pulled off of Va. 681 (Chestnut Grove Road) onto U.S. 522 and into the path of a 2004 Ford F-350, Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. F.L. "Les" Tyler said.

He said Grippo, and his passenger, Irma Irizarry, 67, of Danbury, Conn., both died at the scene. The pickup driver and his passenger were uninjured, Tyler said.
