*Winchester man to serve 10 years in malicious wounding case

WINCHESTER -- A man a judge called "dangerous" and "a sadist" must serve 10 years in prison for wounding and holding his girlfriend captive for three days.

Judge John E. Wetsel Jr. sentenced Ralph Crouse Jr., 51, of 2544 Wilson Blvd., No. 104, Winchester, in Winchester Circuit Court on Friday to 20 years for malicious wounding and 10 years for abduction.

Wetsel suspended half of the wounding term and all but two months of the abduction sentence. The judge order both terms run consecutively.

Crouse must serve supervised probation for the rest of his life upon release from incarceration.
