Man charged with public drunkeness

EDINBURG -- A 23-year-old man was recently charged with public drunkenness and destruction of property.

Kirk Nathaniel Neff, of 143 Millertown Road, Edinburg, was arrested by Shenandoah County deputies July 1. A woman reported that Neff damaged the door of her Ford Focus, Capt. Tom Hodges said.

He said the damage was estimated at $900, and that Neff appeared intoxicated.

Neff is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on July 15.
