Man charged with burglary crimes

NEW MARKET -- A town man has been charged with five crimes related to a burglary and larceny reported in March.
On Aug. 10, deputies with the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office arrested Steven Elliot Wealthy, 21, of 102 Ashby Road, Unit No. 2, after an investigation into the March 17 incident led them to him, Sheriff Timothy C. Carter said. Wealthy was charged with breaking and entering, larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, conspiracy to commit burglary and destruction of property.
Carter said the man broke into an empty house along the 100 block of Rockville Road in Quicksburg and removed copper tubing and a dishwasher, damaging drywall in the process.
Wealthy is free on a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in General District Court on Friday.
