Man jumps from I-81 overpass

MIDDLETOWN -- State police are investigating an incident in which a man jumped from the Interstate 81 overpass Saturday morning.
Sgt. F.L. "Les" Tyler said the man jumped into the southbound shoulder and was transported to Winchester Medical Center. The man was not struck by any vehicles, and the interstate was shut down for a brief period of time.
The incident occurred around 10:50 a.m. at mile marker 302.
Trooper T.H. Seagle is investigating. The Middletown Police Department and Frederick County Sheriff's Office assisted.
