CLEAR BROOK -- A West Virginia man was pinned in his car for a little more than a half hour following a single-vehicle crash on Shady Creek Road, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
Jesus Sanchez, 35, of Ranson, was headed southwest on Shady Creek Road when the 1994 Mazda two-door sedan ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an already-downed tree, according to Lt. Mike Richardson.
A tree limb went through the vehicle's window and pinned Sanchez inside, Richardson said. The driver, who was alone in the car, was eventually extricated and taken to Winchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, Richardson said, and charges are pending. Alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash, he said.
