WINCHESTER -- Faith B. Power will serve as the new interim executive director for Habitat for Humanity of Winchester-Frederick County.
The organization's board of directors announced Monday that Power will fill the job following Cheryl Connolly's departure.
Power was hired to manage overall operations until the board of directors completes a nationwide search for a permanent director. This full-time job that provides benefits will be held for someone with a bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, social work or a similar field, at least five years in a similar position at a human services organization, and a "demonstrated ability to raise funds," according to the local Habitat's website.
A news release issued by the organization notes that Power is the founder and CEO of Ambriel Technologies, LLC, a firm dedicated to technology research and development. She also served as the CEO of Power/Warner Communications, a marketing communications firm based in Winchester, for 21 years. She served as chairwoman of the Winchester-Frederick County and Virginia chambers of commerce, and she sits on the boards of the Free Medical Clinic of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, Our Health, Valley Health Board of Trustees, the Byrd School of Business and Virginia National Bank, the release states.
