WINCHESTER -- Two city men received non-life threatening injuries following a crash on Back Mountain Road in Frederick County on Thursday night.
Percy D. Astete, 42, was driving a 2012 Jeep Patriot southwest on Back Mountain around 7 p.m. when Christopher A. Layton, 29, turned in front of him attempting to get on Rosenberger Lane, said Lt. Mike Richardson of the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
Layton's 1992 Toyota pickup turned 180 degrees in the road, hit a stone wall, went over a stop sign and nearly ejected the driver.
Richardson said Layton did suffer serious head injuries, and he and Astete were transported to Winchester Medical Center.
Layton will be charged with reckless driving, he said.
