Driver killed in Front Royal crash

FRONT ROYAL -- The driver of a four-door sedan was killed around 8:30 a.m. Monday when he lost control of his car and it overturned on Happy Creek Road, according to Front Royal police and Warren County Fire and Rescue Services officials.

Police are withholding the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. The driver, described by police as a white male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred in the 1200 block of Happy Creek Road in the town of Front Royal, and closed the road for about two hours, police and fire officials said.
