WOODSTOCK -- Attorney James H. Allamong Jr. waived his right to a preliminary hearing on drug charges Tuesday in Shenandoah County General District Court.
He now faces indictment when the charges go before a Circuit Court grand jury on Feb. 29.
Allamong, who has resigned his position as a substitute judge, was charged in the fall with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and manufacturing marijuana.
A large amount of marijuana plants were found growing on his property when firefighters responded to an outbuilding fire on Oct. 3, according to a criminal complaint. More pot was found inside his house, it says.
