Edward Jones plans seminar


STRASBURG -- Marquetta Mitchell, financial adviser at the Strasburg office of Edward Jones, will host a coffee club seminar on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Cristina's Cafe, at 219 W. King St. in Strasburg.

The seminar includes investment strategist Kate Warne's outlook for 2012. Topics of discussion will be risks, opportunities and overall trends. The seminar also includes information on preparing for retirement as well as fixed income strategist Mario De Rose's 2012 bond market outlook.

Refreshments will be served.

This is what Edward Jones does for a living -- giving seminars to draw in customers. How is that news? Why not let them pay for advertising when they have a seminar, and use the space in the paper for real news?
