STEPHENSON -- Firefighters put out a blaze in a home in Frederick County on Tuesday night.
Crews from numerous area companies responded to the residential structure fire reported at 2720 Martinsburg Pike shortly after 7 p.m., according to Frederick County emergency dispatch logs. A dispatcher said firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the structure, but she could not release more information.
Firefighters with the Clear Brook Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company responded. They were assisted by crews from Millwood Station, Greenwood, Round Hill Community, Gainesboro and Gore volunteer fire and rescue companies. Firefighters from Winchester and Warren County, as well as Berkeley County, W.Va., also assisted, according to dispatchers.
Firefighters were still on the scene an hour after receiving the call, but had knocked down the blaze by that time, dispatchers said.
