Man indicted in Strasburg abduction

By Sally Voth -- svoth@nvdaily.com

WOODSTOCK -- A Stephens City man accused of abducting a woman from Strasburg in November has been indicted by a Shenandoah County Circuit Court grand jury.

Seth Danner Strosnider, 36, of 107 Tanager Lane, was indicted Jan. 11 on charges of abduction, use of a firearm in the commission of an abduction, breaking and entering, destruction of property and two counts of brandishing a firearm, according to court records.

Strosnider is accused of breaking into the home of Gary Fisher on Laurel Hill Way early in the morning on Nov. 11, and pointing a semiautomatic handgun at Fisher and his girlfriend, Sara Anderson, according to a criminal complaint.

"Strosnider yelled that he was not leaving without Anderson," the complaint says. "Anderson agreed to leave with Strosnider to get him out of the house so he would not be shot by Fisher, who retrieved a firearm."

Anderson drove Strosnider to his house, sending Fisher text messages about her location, the complaint says. He was arrested by the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.
Also indicted were Timothy Wayne Kirby, 23, and Christian Paul Showers, 20, both of 149 Valley Vista Drive, No. 207, Woodstock. They were both charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools, three counts of grand larceny and two counts of third-offense petty larceny.

The pair were arrested for allegedly stealing metal from a county business by the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office on Aug. 26, according to a criminal complaint written by Woodstock police investigator Scotty Thompson. It says Kirby refused to talk to an investigator, but Showers admitted they'd stolen metal from various locations.

"He also confirmed that they had also made piles of metal along the railroad tracks that [they] were going to return [to] at a later date," the complaint says.
It says they tried several times to pick up the metal, but encountered people in the vicinity. Showers told the investigator he and Kirby took the metal to Winchester Scrap Metal.

Receipts from the business show Showers sold them scrap on Aug. 1, 11, 13, 15, and 22, the complaint says.
