Police encourage cycle registration

WOODSTOCK -- Town police are encouraging residents to register their bicycles, scooters and mopeds.
Doing so will make them easier to recover if they are stolen, according to a news release from the agency.
"We've had a few scooters stolen," investigator Derek Good said. "We just thought we would do this."
Those interested in the free registration should go to the police department at 134 N. Muhlenberg St. during business hours, the release says.
"This registration is important because if your bike, scooter, or moped is ever stolen, we will have the necessary information to have your bike, scooter, or moped entered into a national database that will greatly increase our chances of recovering your property," it says.
